Every child Home-Start supports is
as unique and fragile as a snowflake.
Right now thousands of young children are experiencing hardship or tragedy through no fault of their own.
Many families need support to get through some very tough times and this is where Home-Start can help. Sometimes we are their last chance.
You can raise money any time you like for the Snowflake Appeal. But we go big on it from 1 November to 31 January each year. You will help us reach thousands of fragile and vulnerable children across the UK.

Joseph's story
“Normal mums can simply cuddle and enjoy their babies; I had to keep mine alive.”
Joseph was born prematurely, in a complex birth. For the next six weeks he refused to drink and became dehydrated. He was diagnosed with Gastro Oesophageal Reflux Disorder. The treatment was 24 hour care and to be fed through a tube in his nose.
Joseph's mum, Jackie was trained to administer the tubes that kept him alive, operate pumps, prepare special feeds and give four different types of medication.
